WordPress version 6.0 was just released. I’m not going to go into the new features/functions here because you can read about that elsewhere. What I AM going to talk about is doing the update.
6.0 is considered a major release, meaning significant changes. As with every major release, a few bugs have crept in. Google “WordPress 6.0 Problems” will reveal some of them. Since 6.0 does not appear to address any security issues, I would wait until 6.01 to update.
In addition, many plugins have not yet been updated for this new release and incompatibility issues are sure to show up. My advice is to wait a few days until plugin developers have had a chance to catch up.
